For the first time, Farm N Food magazine organized a large-scale state-level “Farm N Food Krishi Samman Award” at the Sangeet Natak Akademi in Lucknow on October 17, 2024. Over 200 farmers from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in the event, and around 40 farmers who introduced innovation and technology in agriculture were honored with the state-level award.

Among the attendees were Dr. Pooja Gaur, Dr. Hiresh Verma, Vandana Singh, Colonel Harishchandra Singh, Ram Murti Mishra, Achal Mishra, Milan Sharma, Arvind Singh, and other leading farmers.

Dinesh Pratap Singh, State Minister (Independent Charge) for Horticulture & Food Processing, Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign Trade, and Agriculture, was the chief guest. He said, “I congratulate all the winners. I commend Farm N Food magazine for this initiative to honor farmers. Agriculture has immense potential, which is why Uttar Pradesh’s mangoes are being exported globally. We are sending other products worldwide, boosting farmers’ morale. Today’s youth can globalize their agricultural products. A state-of-the-art research center in Agra will soon revolutionize India’s agriculture sector. Along with traditional farming, we must adopt innovations to increase farmers’ income.”

Padma Shri awardee Umashankar Pandey, known for his work in water conservation, said, “Most of the water in the environment is polluted. Farmers are the backbone of our nation, and we must be ready to support their needs. India is an agrarian country, and I thank Delhi Press for honoring farmers in Lucknow with this prestigious award.”

Anant Nath, Executive Publisher of Delhi Press, said, “Learning about farming is like being a student—it fuels my curiosity.
